Why Post-College Basketball?

For the Community

Everyone has either played sports...or they love to watch it! However, when it comes to watching Major League Sports in-person, often times, it can be expensive to attend contests, and that's even if a team is close enough! The Carolina Crusader Minor League Organization offers an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to get a chance to see competitive basketball on a respected international platform in THEIR OWN BACKYARD with a team where the majority of players are home grown!

In addition to offering family-friendly entertainment, the Crusaders use local youth groups and organizations for game day performances, allowing local youth the opportunity to also have a platform to fundraise and perfect their crafts!

For the Opportunity

The Carolina Crusaders compete in the East Coast Basketball League, a highly respected and competitive platform where players are able to get the athletic credentials needed to procure overseas contracts.

Players who have already secured their places overseas compete in the ECBL to continue to keep their competitive and professional edge, and seasoned veterans enjoy the opportunity to give back to their communities while playing the game that they love! The opportunities for our players are just as parallel as to those for our community!

Our players are able to receive athletic and career development opportunities to help in their next steps to wherever life takes them...whether it be on or off the court!

For the Youth

It's ALL about the kids! Forming a path for the next generation is a central focus and priority to the Crusaders! Having once been children ourselves, the Crusaders seek to offer the same character, life and athletic skills to youth that we have received, and encourage them to always have S.W.A.G. which we define as the ability to Strengthen When Adversity Grows!

The Crusaders are always seeking opportunities to partner and work with youth groups and organizations and have hosted both paid and free clinics and skill development sessions through GRAD Skills Academy and in partnership with other local organizations such as the Richland County Recreation Commission!
